To help us get through the train changes that the reconstruction of the L has brought upon us, the MTA now posts updates about schedule changes and service alternatives to the L Train, as well as increasing M, G, 7, Williamsburg Link bus, and M-14 bus service. Hopefully, by the time all this construction is done it will have been worth it.They are also releasing a weekly report on dust monitoring, as citizen concerns regarding silica dust inhalation were taken very seriously.
The information listed below in this article is current as of June 10, 2019. Check the MTA’s service updates for any changes.
The MTA is adding free transfers along the L, between Livonia Street on the L and Junius Street on the 3. You can also connect from Broadway on the G to either Hewes Street or Lorimer Street on the J and M for free.
M14 buses will run more frequently, every 4-5 minutes between 8 PM and midnight on weeknights. The M14A/D serves all L stops along 14 Street (Manhattan) and runs every 3-5 minutes for most of the day on weekends. The M14A connects with the F/J/M at Delancey Street-Essex Street every 7-10 minutes on weeknights.
The Williamsburg Link bus route will replace the current B91 and B92 routes. This route was built to deliver service to the areas where customers have been riding the most: Marcy Avenue and the Bedford Avenue area. It will run every 8 minutes during rush hours, and every 10 minutes otherwise.
Williamsburg Link bus stops:
- Driggs Avenue and North 6th Street
- Grant Street and Driggs Avenue
- Marcy Avenue J/M
- Grand Street and Roebling Street
