Last Saturday, Town Square BK and IS 318 PTA invited everyone to a community celebration on Greenpoint Avenue outside of Transmitter Park.  Neighbors and friends came out to salute our 2021 graduates and enjoy kids activities, live music and a Greencycle Swap.

The afternoon kicked off with Stacie and Treble Time Music Studio rocking for the kiddos!

Followed by Katherine and Tkiya Music.

And some unbelievably talented high schoolers with the Ben Leviathan Jazz Quintet.

There was sword fighting in the streets (foam swords, that is), run by Ellen Page and Alioune N’Gom of The New York Society of Play.

And treasures to score at Greencycle Swap.  We were blown away to learn that the April swap received donations of over 1,200 pounds of clothing, shoes, books, toys, household items and electronics; thousands of pounds of perfectly good items saved from the landfills.  We can’t wait to hear the report for this June swap.
