‘The Bright Side’ Photowalk and Photo Review

Saturday, September 16th, 2023 at 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Free

This 3-hour workshop led by photographer Poupay will include an outdoor photowalk in the neighborhood around Williamsburgh Library and also an in-class photo review afterwards. The workshop welcomes all levels of photographers and all types of cameras. Please note that if any participant brings a film camera then they won’t be able to show their work during the workshop, but can still benefit from watching the process.

The theme of the workshop is The Bright Side, which is the current Anyone / Anywhere open call and upcoming exhibition at the Brooklyn Public Library.

1:00-2:30 PM

All participants briefly introduce themselves, then we will go for a photowalk for about an hour around Williamsburg. Participants are welcome to follow the instructor or walk on their own.

2:30 -4:00 PM

Each participant will select their favorite 2-3 photos. We will talk about the experience during the walk and the thought process behind their photos.

Can’t come to the workshop?  You are still welcome to submit photos to be shown in The Bright Side exhibit!  Learn more here about the exhibit and submitting your photos.

BKLYN Incubator is supported by generous funding provided by The Charles H. Revson Foundation.
