Greencycle Back-to-School Swap

Have lots of CLOTHES, SHOES & BOOKS taking up space? Bring everything over to the Greencycle Back-to-School Swap on Saturday, September 16th, 2023. (NO RAIN DATE). Location: 424 Leonard Street (Bayard entrance, between Manhattan Ave & Leonard Street).
Join Town Square’s efforts to recycle, reuse and reduce! Drop off your cleaned and useable CLOTHES, SHOES, BOOKS, ELECTRONICS (no TVs), HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, and SMALL FURNITURE (no cribs or mattresses) – and browse the selection.
SIMPLE RULES:
• Only cleaned, gently used and useable items please. No need to bring anything to take items.
• Out of consideration for others, we may limit folks to the 1 bag or the number of bags that you’ve brought to donate to the swap.
• We do not allow taking donated items to resell. Why? Because all remaining items are donated to local homeless shelters for neighbors truly in need.
Since 2008, Town Square has been promoting environmental consciousness at the local level through our Greencycle Swaps. We firmly believe that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure! We’re delighted to partner with Clay Family Residence / Home Life Services to keep +1,500 pounds of perfectly good items out of our landfills for every Greencycle Swap. We love helping our neighbors while benefiting our environment!
Suggested donation: $10 a family to help cover costs and support local Scouts Pack 7, Troop 26 and the very 1st Brooklyn female troop, Troop 1G. Town Square is a qualified 501(c)(3) not‐for‐profit institution. Your donation will be TAX DEDUCTIBLE to the full extent of the law.
