Defunct yet history-laden Williamsburg waterfront now transformed into fresh life.
The brand new Domino Park sitting in the shadow of the Domino Sugar Factory is a show stopper. The 6-acre park boasts a playground with unique children’s play structures, grassy lawn areas to sit on, wooden loungers to recline and gaze at sweeping unobstructed panorama of Manhattan, an elevated walk way, lovely plantings, a spray ground for super hot days, a steam spray feature rising up from the East River, tacos into the night…the list goes on!
But most importantly, this park puts a pin on the map for the Williamsburg waterfront and all that it can achieve. There truly feels a “domino effect” at play here and we hope that this chain reaction travels north up the river all the way to Long Island City for a long overdue green spaces along our potential gorgeous “Brooklyn Riviera” up and down the edge of North Brooklyn. This park feels like a spark of what’s to come.
