Thanks to the herculean efforts of the Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park (FBIP): The City has made a $100 million offer to Norm Brodsky to acquire the CitiStorage site for completing the promised Park. However, the offer expires in less than 30 days.
In another effort to persuade movement, the Park Moms have issued a letter and started an online petition to encourage the completion of the park. See below for the letter and to sign the petition:

Dear Mayor de Blasio and Mr. Brodsky,
As community organizations that have worked with both the City of New York and Mr. Brodsky to build a stronger community through many local civic and cultural projects, we are writing in hopes that you will both work diligently to create the 27-acre Bushwick Inlet Park.
We are all part of an American journey that has taken waterfront from wetlands to industry to coveted land, once appreciated by few and now by many.
We ask that you seek to ensure the reclamation of this land as a park. In the tradition of Olmsted, we implore you to keep your eyes on the future to create the open and green space that is so essential to the benefit of all in this ever-growing city.
We very much appreciate your efforts and look forward to the moment when all parties – civic leaders, business leaders, and community – will join to celebrate the resolution, build a park, and cut the ribbon together on opening day.
