DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, December 7th for our 22nd Annual Sinterklaas- St. Nicholas Day Celebration. We hope you can join us for a fun-filled day of craft activities\, a tree lighting\, and a special visit from St. Nick. \nChildren will enjoy a visit from St. Nicholas as he arrives on horseback around 2:30PM. St. Nicholas will tell the traditional tale of The Bakers Dozen and children are invited to sign the Red Book. Sip hot cider\, try your hand at colonial games\, create a holiday pomander\, decorate a Dutch clog for Sinterklaas\, and dress the tree for the tree lighting that will close the day as the sun goes down. \nSchedule of Events: \n2PM Grounds open with crafts and activities \n2:30PM Learn the traditional Sinterklaas Song \n2:45PM St. Nicholas arrives on horseback\, meet the horses \n3PM Story time with St. Nicholas & reading The Bakers Dozen \n3:15-4PM Sign the Red Book and take photos with St. Nicholas \n4:00PM Tree decorating and lighting \nWhat to expect on your visit: \n\nWe recommend dressing warmly as all activities will take place outdoors in the park.\nPre-registration is strongly encouraged. Get free compost to help your new tree while supplies last! \nEven if all available trees are reserved for an event\, walk-up recipients are welcome to pick up a tree during the second hour of the giveaway\, from 11:00 a.m. onwards. All remaining trees are first-come\, first-served until all trees are distributed. We always have trees remaining for the second hour for anyone who missed the chance to register in advance. \nShow us your tree and tag @nyrp for a chance to be featured on our social media!
