DESCRIPTION:Tree guards are a great way to protect our street trees from soil compaction\, pet waste\, and other physical damage.\n\nJoin us for a few hours to help install several tree guards and protect District 33 trees. We will divide into teams to install each guard and experienced staff will provide hands on instruction and support while volunteers get to work. After each guard is installed we will spruce up the tree bed with fresh compost and mulch. All tools and supplies provided. Please wear comfortable clothes appropriate for the weather and close toed shoes. \n\nYou will learn some new skills and get the training you need to install one on your block next!\n\nJoin us on Saturday\, May 31 from 2pm-5pm in Greenpoint or Saturday\, June 21 from 10am-1pm  in Brooklyn Heights.
