DESCRIPTION:Join NYC Parks GreenThumb for a guided bike tour of over seven GreenThumb community gardens in less than seven miles through North Brooklyn. This bike tour will focus on the roots of community gardens\, honor their history\, founders\, and what was on the land before as we cycle through the ever-changing landscape of Bushwick and Williamsburg. \nCommunity Gardens on Tour:\n* We will stop to visit the community gardens in bold \n\nMeeting Location: Granite Street Community Garden\, 28-32 Granite Street\, Brooklyn\nMadison Square Association Garden\nKnow Waste Lands\nEL Garden\nNos Cuidamos Community Garden\nSunshine Community Garden\nKeap Fourth Community Garden\nEl Puente: Espiritu Tierra Community Garden – Earth Spirit\nBerry Street Garden\n\nNo bike? No problem! Citi Bikes will be available at no cost. Please keep in mind that Citi Bike rentals do not include bike helmets\, so all participants must bring their own helmet. Please make sure to bring a fully charged smartphone with the Citi Bike app downloaded on to your phone to access the bikes. Please arrive 30 minutes before\, so we can set you up with a bike. \nThis event is hosted by NYC Parks GreenThumb.
