DESCRIPTION:Join us at Brighton Beach Library for community e-waste recycling! DSNY holds recycling events in every community board district in New York City. These free events provide community members a convenient opportunity to recycle items that are not collected curbside. These events are for NYC residents ONLY\, not businesses. Commercial vehicles are NOT allowed. \nWhat to Bring: \nWe collect only e-waste items covered under the NYS Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act. This includes: \n\nHousehold and office electronics (computers\, laptops\, keyboards\, printers)\nSmaller entertainment electronics (video game consoles\, cell phones\, MP3 players)\nTVs\, VCRs\, DVDs\, DVRs\n\nFind out more about what items are considered e-waste. Make sure to erase all sensitive data. \nNOTE: Household appliances\, air conditioners\, batteries\, and light bulbs are NOT accepted. \n  \nThe collected e-waste is recycled or refurbished for reuse through ERI.
