DESCRIPTION:The stipple technique is a drawing method of creating an image or pattern using a series of small dots. As part of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Art Under the Bridge series\, join for a free workshop on this 500-year old illustration technique still used by botanical artists today. \nThis workshop is intended for adults and older teens. All skill levels are welcome but some drawing experience is recommended. Materials will be provided. This event is first-come-first-serve with 25 spots available. Pre-registration is recommended but not required. This event takes place at the Park offices at 334 Furman St (near Pier 5).

Nestled below a grassy earthworks crescent that shelters the Boathouse from traffic noise\, the wood-paneled hall yields a warm and vibrant sound for chamber music. DESCRIPTION:Join Brooklyn Bridge Park educators for a free workshop on drawing leaves in pencil. Learn about the different parts to a leaf as you gain basic botanical illustration techniques for making accurate graphite drawings of leaves found in the park. \nThis workshop is intended for adults\, but all are welcome. Materials will be provided on a first-come\, first-served basis. Feel free to bring your own drawing materials if you have them. This event takes place indoors at the Environmental Education Center.
