Ma Cherie and Jam Central (of Lovers Rock) and Mohogany will be spinning Studio One\, Dancehall\, afrobeats\, and amapiano all afternoon at Pier 6 Liberty Lawn.  \nAfrican Chop House was inspired by the sounds\, smells\, and visuals that surrounded us growing up In West Africa\, a chop bar is a roadside bar/restaurant that serves as a meeting place for the community. It brings people together through food and music to exchange information\, ideas and connect with each other. \nFood and drink will be available for sale – enjoy delicious food selections curated by African Chop House including Makina Cafe (Ethiopian) and Gold Coast. Beer\, wine\, soft drinks\, and more for sale at our Bar by Fornino. \nCome with friends\, or come alone — these afternoons are an opportunity to relax\, lay out\, and do not too much of anything\, while a rotation of DJ’s do their thing in the background. We’re taking lazy Sundays very seriously\, creating moments for good vibes and good people. Pack a blanket or cushion – please note no lawn chairs allow on the lawn. \nBring your good vibes and your best moves – RSVP so we know you’re coming! \nPlease note that all attendees will have bags checked. DESCRIPTION:Join for Nature Storytime at the Environmental Education Center! Held at 3:00 PM on the third Thursday of every month (during Open Hours). \nLibrarians from Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street location lead for an exciting and engaging storytime session\, along with singing and rhymes. Each month they select a book to pair with the Education Center’s monthly nature theme. Stick around after to check out all the animals and activities in the room during Open Hours! Storytime is typically about a half hour long. \nWalk-ups only; we do our utmost to accommodate as many walk-ups as space allows. \nThe Environmental Education Center is still encouraging all visitors to wear a mask to help protect others.

The New York City-based all-women\, trans\, and non-binary Brazilian Samba Reggae drum line Fogo Azul (Blue Fire) was born at the intersection of founder and Buffalo\, NY native\, Stacy Kovacs’ passion for Samba Reggae\, her deep respect for its cultural roots as a music of protest and resistance\, her belief and activism in support of gender equality and her sense of civic duty in the current environment to publicly awaken and inspire people to resist oppression and exercise their power to uplift society —loudly. \nFogo Azul will have three performances\, on Sundays: July 14\, August 11\, and September 8. View all dates here. \nThe Open Studios program presents park spaces as an open studio to practice\, develop\, and present their art to the public.

DESCRIPTION:The Conservancy’s 12th annual Hindu Lamp Ceremony returns to Brooklyn Bridge Park. \nDance artist and educator Aeilushi Mistry will bring peace and harmony to the community as she performs the traditional Hindu Aarti ceremony at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pebble Beach. The Aarti ceremony is traditionally performed each morning and evening along India’s rivers\, in order to convey gratitude to mother river\, reflect on community\, and remember loved ones. Please join us as we decorate palm leaf lamps and release them along the East River to make prayers and pay our respects to loved ones. Guest artists will also present their work at this event. \nThis event is a free walk-up event open to all; no advance registration required.

DESCRIPTION:Join for Nature Storytime at the Environmental Education Center! Held at 3:00 PM on the third Thursday of every month (during Open Hours). \nLibrarians from Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street location lead for an exciting and engaging storytime session\, along with singing and rhymes. Each month they select a book to pair with the Education Center’s monthly nature theme. Stick around after to check out all the animals and activities in the room during Open Hours! Storytime is typically about a half hour long. \nWalk-ups only; we do our utmost to accommodate as many walk-ups as space allows. \nThe Environmental Education Center is still encouraging all visitors to wear a mask to help protect others.

DESCRIPTION:Following the event’s popularity during its first two editions\, The Hill in New York will be relocating to Emily Warren Roebling Plaza\, a larger space beneath the Brooklyn Bridge. Taking place at Empire Fulton Ferry\, Dumbo\, across 12-14 July\, we’re once again bringing a live Finals viewing experience to New York\, as well as the chance to experience incredible live music and entertainment. \nFor the chance to enjoy The Hill in New York\, click here to enter the online ballot by Thursday 4 July. Successful applicants will be notified on Friday 5 July. There will be limited walk-in spots available for those who are not successful in the online ballot \n  \nThe world’s oldest tennis event\, The Championships\, Wimbledon\, will be returning stateside for the third successive year\, staging The Hill in New York from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 July. \nThe event will see Wimbledon taking over Empire Fulton Ferry beside a nine-acre area of Brooklyn Bridge Park to recreate its iconic ‘Hill’\, the famous vantage point for fans to gather and enjoy tennis on the big screen. With sweeping views over Manhattan and live tennis on show\, fans in New York will be able to enjoy a quintessential Wimbledon experience from afar. \nFollowing the event’s popularity during its first two editions\, The Hill in New York will be relocating to a bigger venue on the banks of the East River in the heart of the city’s popular Dumbo neighbourhood\, doubling capacity to 3\,500 on each of the days. Entry to The Hill in New York will be free\, with fans able to secure tickets through an online ballot\, now open here\, which closes on Thursday 4 July. \nAs well as the change of location\, the All England Club has announced it will be updating the format of the event\, with an intimate free performance on the evening of Friday 12 July by a global celebrity talent\, who will be revealed on Tuesday 11 June. \nFollowing the Friday night performance\, The Hill in New York will be open from 8.30am on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July for those who have secured their ticket via the ballot and a limited number of walk-ins. \nGuests will be greeted by Wimbledon stewards and invited to immerse themselves in the quintessential experience of British tradition and fare\, with iconic strawberries & cream and Pimm’s served at the Wimbledon garden bar. Wimbledon picnics will also be available to purchase ahead of the event to enjoy on the day. The Wimbledon Shop will also return this year\, which houses Wimbledon’s exclusive clothing line designed onsite and\, outside of The Championships\, is only available online for US shoppers. \nLarge screens will show live tennis action from Centre Court\, including the provisionally scheduled ladies’ singles and gentlemen’s doubles finals on Saturday\, and gentlemen’s singles and ladies’ doubles finals on Sunday\, in an atmosphere similar to the Hill at SW19. Once live play has concluded\, there will be sunset screenings of notable Wimbledon matches between tennis legends.

Taking place at Empire Fulton Ferry\, Dumbo\, across 12-14 July\, we’re once again bringing a live Finals viewing experience to New York\, as well as the chance to experience incredible live music and entertainment. \nFor the chance to enjoy The Hill in New York\, click here to enter the online ballot by Thursday 4 July. Successful applicants will be notified on Friday 5 July. There will be limited walk-in spots available for those who are not successful in the online ballot \n  \nThe world’s oldest tennis event\, The Championships\, Wimbledon\, will be returning stateside for the third successive year\, staging The Hill in New York from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 July. \nThe event will see Wimbledon taking over Empire Fulton Ferry beside a nine-acre area of Brooklyn Bridge Park to recreate its iconic ‘Hill’\, the famous vantage point for fans to gather and enjoy tennis on the big screen. With sweeping views over Manhattan and live tennis on show\, fans in New York will be able to enjoy a quintessential Wimbledon experience from afar. \nFollowing the event’s popularity during its first two editions\, The Hill in New York will be relocating to a bigger venue on the banks of the East River in the heart of the city’s popular Dumbo neighbourhood\, doubling capacity to 3\,500 on each of the days. Entry to The Hill in New York will be free\, with fans able to secure tickets through an online ballot\, now open here\, which closes on Thursday 4 July. \nAs well as the change of location\, the All England Club has announced it will be updating the format of the event\, with an intimate free performance on the evening of Friday 12 July by a global celebrity talent\, who will be revealed on Tuesday 11 June. \nFollowing the Friday night performance\, The Hill in New York will be open from 8.30am on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July for those who have secured their ticket via the ballot and a limited number of walk-ins. \nGuests will be greeted by Wimbledon stewards and invited to immerse themselves in the quintessential experience of British tradition and fare\, with iconic strawberries & cream and Pimm’s served at the Wimbledon garden bar. Wimbledon picnics will also be available to purchase ahead of the event to enjoy on the day. The Wimbledon Shop will also return this year\, which houses Wimbledon’s exclusive clothing line designed onsite and\, outside of The Championships\, is only available online for US shoppers. \nLarge screens will show live tennis action from Centre Court\, including the provisionally scheduled ladies’ singles and gentlemen’s doubles finals on Saturday\, and gentlemen’s singles and ladies’ doubles finals on Sunday\, in an atmosphere similar to the Hill at SW19. Once live play has concluded\, there will be sunset screenings of notable Wimbledon matches between tennis legends.

DESCRIPTION:Join for Nature Storytime at the Environmental Education Center! Held at 3:00 PM on the third Thursday of every month (during Open Hours). \nLibrarians from Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street location lead for an exciting and engaging storytime session\, along with singing and rhymes. Each month they select a book to pair with the Education Center’s monthly nature theme. Stick around after to check out all the animals and activities in the room during Open Hours! Storytime is typically about a half hour long. \nWalk-ups only; we do our utmost to accommodate as many walk-ups as space allows. \nThe Environmental Education Center is still encouraging all visitors to wear a mask to help protect others.
