DESCRIPTION:Join for Nature Storytime at the Environmental Education Center! Held at 3:00 PM on the third Thursday of every month (during Open Hours). \nLibrarians from Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street location lead for an exciting and engaging storytime session\, along with singing and rhymes. Each month they select a book to pair with the Education Center’s monthly nature theme. Stick around after to check out all the animals and activities in the room during Open Hours! Storytime is typically about a half hour long. \nWalk-ups only; we do our utmost to accommodate as many walk-ups as space allows. \nThe Environmental Education Center is still encouraging all visitors to wear a mask to help protect others.

The New York City-based all-women\, trans\, and non-binary Brazilian Samba Reggae drum line Fogo Azul (Blue Fire) was born at the intersection of founder and Buffalo\, NY native\, Stacy Kovacs’ passion for Samba Reggae\, her deep respect for its cultural roots as a music of protest and resistance\, her belief and activism in support of gender equality and her sense of civic duty in the current environment to publicly awaken and inspire people to resist oppression and exercise their power to uplift society —loudly. \nFogo Azul will have three performances\, on Sundays: July 14\, August 11\, and September 8. View all dates here. \nThe Open Studios program presents park spaces as an open studio to practice\, develop\, and present their art to the public.

DESCRIPTION:The Conservancy’s 12th annual Hindu Lamp Ceremony returns to Brooklyn Bridge Park. \nDance artist and educator Aeilushi Mistry will bring peace and harmony to the community as she performs the traditional Hindu Aarti ceremony at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pebble Beach. The Aarti ceremony is traditionally performed each morning and evening along India’s rivers\, in order to convey gratitude to mother river\, reflect on community\, and remember loved ones. Please join us as we decorate palm leaf lamps and release them along the East River to make prayers and pay our respects to loved ones. Guest artists will also present their work at this event. \nThis event is a free walk-up event open to all; no advance registration required.

SUMMARY:Nature Storytime at Brooklyn Bridge Park
DESCRIPTION:Join for Nature Storytime at the Environmental Education Center! Held at 3:00 PM on the third Thursday of every month (during Open Hours). \nLibrarians from Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street location lead for an exciting and engaging storytime session\, along with singing and rhymes. Each month they select a book to pair with the Education Center’s monthly nature theme. Stick around after to check out all the animals and activities in the room during Open Hours! Storytime is typically about a half hour long. \nWalk-ups only; we do our utmost to accommodate as many walk-ups as space allows. \nThe Environmental Education Center is still encouraging all visitors to wear a mask to help protect others.

DESCRIPTION:Fogo Azul return to Brooklyn Bridge Park for an Open Studios performance\, in partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. \nFogo Azul NYC is among New York City’s best and most powerful performance group. The New York City-based all-women\, trans\, and non-binary Brazilian Samba Reggae drum line Fogo Azul (Blue Fire) was born at the intersection of founder and Buffalo\, NY native\, Stacy Kovacs’ passion for Samba Reggae\, her deep respect for its cultural roots as a music of protest and resistance\, her belief and activism in support of gender equality and her sense of civic duty in the current environment to publicly awaken and inspire people to resist oppression and exercise their power to uplift society —loudly. \nFogo Azul will have three performances\, on Sundays: July 14\, August 11\, and September 8. View all dates here. \nThe Open Studios program presents park spaces as an open studio to practice\, develop\, and present their art to the public.
