DESCRIPTION:Join us this summer to celebrate our 25th season of Pluto TV Movies With A View! Our free outdoor movies are shown on Thursday evenings in July and August\, at Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn. There is no better place to be on a hot summer night than watching an outdoor film and enjoying the breeze off of the East River with the dazzling Manhattan skyline before you. Each evening\, the lawn opens at 6:00 PM on a first come\, first serve basis\, and the movie begins at sunset. Bring your good vibes and your best moves! Doors open at 6:00 PM and the dance party starts at 7:00 PM. RSVP so we know you’re coming! Costumes encouraged. \nPlease note that all attendees will have bags checked. This is an all-ages event\, but youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Held at 3:00 PM on the third Thursday of every month (during Open Hours). \nLibrarians from Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street location lead for an exciting and engaging storytime session\, along with singing and rhymes. Each month they select a book to pair with the Education Center’s monthly nature theme. Stick around after to check out all the animals and activities in the room during Open Hours! Storytime is typically about a half hour long. \nWalk-ups only; we do our utmost to accommodate as many walk-ups as space allows. \nThe Environmental Education Center is still encouraging all visitors to wear a mask to help protect others.

The New York City-based all-women\, trans\, and non-binary Brazilian Samba Reggae drum line Fogo Azul (Blue Fire) was born at the intersection of founder and Buffalo\, NY native\, Stacy Kovacs’ passion for Samba Reggae\, her deep respect for its cultural roots as a music of protest and resistance\, her belief and activism in support of gender equality and her sense of civic duty in the current environment to publicly awaken and inspire people to resist oppression and exercise their power to uplift society —loudly. \nFogo Azul will have three performances\, on Sundays: July 14\, August 11\, and September 8. View all dates here. \nThe Open Studios program presents park spaces as an open studio to practice\, develop\, and present their art to the public.
