DESCRIPTION:Dodge YMCA fitness Zumba classes are so much fun you’ll forget that you’re burning calories. ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music\, utilizing dance themes that create a dynamic\, exciting\, effective fitness program. This class features aerobic training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Sneakers are recommended! Classes run on Mondays at 6:00 PM\, May 1 through September 25 at the Pier 3 Plaza. \n\n\n\nAdvanced registration is required. We are now opening registration by-the-month (opens at the start of the month for all classes that month) here. \nImportant: In addition to registration\, all fitness participants are required to fill out our fitness waiver here. Once completed\, your waiver is good for all Conservancy fitness classes of the 2023 season – you only need to fill it out once! Those under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian complete the form on their behalf. \nConfirmation emails include a link to this waiver. It must be completed before you can participate in any of our fitness programming; individuals who have not completed a waiver will not be permitted to join. DESCRIPTION:Join our docents on a tour to learn about the history of the Brooklyn waterfront\, Brooklyn Bridge Park’s sustainable design\, and how the Park came to life! Waterfront Walks run every Sunday\, 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM from May 28 through October 29 (weather permitting). \nWear comfortable shoes\, as these tours traverse the beautiful park landscape! All tours meet outside Van Leeuwen at Fulton Ferry Landing (near the Pier 1 entrance) and last about an hour. \nREGISTER HERERSVP’s are encouraged but not required\, drop ins are also welcome! Registered participants will receive an email closer to the date with tour information\, meeting place location\, etc. \nAlso consider our new Sunset Waterfront Walks\, which run 6:30 PM-7:30 PM the first and third Tuesday of each month\, from June-October (weather permitting)

DESCRIPTION:Join for Nature Storytime at Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s Environmental Education Center (99 Plymouth Street)! Held at 3:00pm on the third Thursday of every month (during Open Hours). Librarians from Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street location lead for an exciting and engaging storytime session\, along with singing and rhymes. Each month they select a book to pair with the Education Center’s monthly nature theme. After\, stay to check out all the animals and activities in the room – open hours on Thursdays are currently 3:00-5:00pm! Storytime is typically about a half hour long. Walk-ups only; we do our utmost to accommodate as many walk-ups as space allows. The Environmental Education Center is still encouraging all visitors to wear a mask to help protect others.

Those under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian complete the form on their behalf. \nConfirmation emails include a link to this waiver. DESCRIPTION:Join for Nature Storytime at Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s Environmental Education Center (99 Plymouth Street)! Held at 3:00pm on the third Thursday of every month (during Open Hours). Librarians from Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street location lead for an exciting and engaging storytime session\, along with singing and rhymes. Each month they select a book to pair with the Education Center’s monthly nature theme. After\, stay to check out all the animals and activities in the room – open hours on Thursdays are currently 3:00-5:00pm! Storytime is typically about a half hour long. Walk-ups only; we do our utmost to accommodate as many walk-ups as space allows. The Environmental Education Center is still encouraging all visitors to wear a mask to help protect others.

No previous dance experience required – just enthusiasm and energy. You’ll be guided through a short\, playful choreographic process with Larry and Dancer Jaclyn Walsh using games and guided improvisation to allow you to uncover your creativity and physicality. \n  \nREGISTER!  \nRegistration encouraged\, but walk-ups welcome. \nIf you enjoy the workshop\, join as they further develop Rhapsody\, a new community dance work developed in Brooklyn Bridge Park and supported by Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy\, inviting 50+ members of the public (like you!) to participate. Open to dancers and non-dancers of all ages in an outdoor celebration of movement\, shared space\, and connection\, accompanied by live music by William Catanzaro and CHAIN.
