DESCRIPTION:Summer Tea in Prospect Park\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin Tea Arts & Culture and Prospect Park Alliance for a full-day family-friendly gathering in the park to steep and sip tea together with arts\, music and shared appreciation of nature. Embark on a journey to learn about tea and connect with the diverse cultures and communities around us. \n \nPlease note that this event is rain or shine\, and will be held inside the Boathouse in the event of rain. \n11 am–12 pm Nature Walk\, Morning Yoga\, and Tea Meditation \nLed by the Prospect Park Alliance and Tea Arts & Culture team\, you can choose to have a walk through the trails around the Boathouse\, join for a morning Yoga\, or simply sit for a tea meditation to be more in tune with your body and mind. \n12 pm–3 pm Poem Composing Tree \nGather your thoughts about tea\, nature\, and community under the Composing Tree and create a poem that you can share with other participants. \n12 pm–3 pm Community Tea Circles \nEnjoy a multidisciplinary community art experience with tea circles created by various communities from different cultures. Pablo Neruda’s Odes to Common Things will be incorporated into the program. As Neruda said: “The art of tea\, much like the art of poetry\, is steeped in tradition and culture but leads to a deeper appreciation of everyday life and what we have in common. Join us!” \nDue to this program’s growing popularity\, we encourage attendees to bring their own teacup if possible.
