DESCRIPTION:Come join us as we weed and cut back plant waste from last year. We will provide gloves\, tools and supplies. Please dress to get dirty. We recommend bringing water\, a hat and sunscreen. No experience necessary. Special thanks to Partnership for Parks and NYC Parks. \nAlso\, learn about soil contamination issues in North Brooklyn. North Brooklyn Neighbors will be on had using their XRF machine to offer free soil testing of the heavy metal (i.e. lead) content of your soil and results will be available immediately. Bring a sample of your soil in a new\, clear\, plastic sandwich bag with about 2 cups of soil. Information on safely dealing with high levels of lead in soil will be available in English\, Polish\, and Spanish. \nFree registration required via the link below.
