DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to bring back our Autumn Evenings and give the community Newtown Native Nursery hours to amplify your greenspace in the Fall! \n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\nCome join NCA every Friday from September 5 to October 17 to see the green roofs at Kingsland Wildflowers and explore (and purchase) plants from our Native Plant Nursery. \nThe event’s allow the public to learn about the green roofs and native plants\, as well as experiencing the Newtown Creek during the golden hour from our scenic wildflower meadows. This is a family friendly event\, kindly keep in mind that we use our green roofs as an educational resource\, we prefer that furry friends stay at home. NCA staff will be on hand to answer questions about the space\, the ecological benefits of green roofs\, and talk about our current activities around Newtown Creek! \nThe event is free and open to all. The main green roofs can be accessed via elevator\, however the nursery area is not ADA accessible (small staircase). \nCheck out the various native plants that we have been growing on site; purchases can also be made online in advance!

DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, October 26th\, 2025 \nFREE Costumed Parade @ 12 Noon \nTicketed Spooktacular Party @ 10 AM\, 11 AM\, 1 PM\, 2 PM \n*** \nCalling all princes and princesses\, heroes and villains\, witches and wizards! Join Town Square BK for our popular annual Greenpoint Children’s Halloween Parade and Spooktacular Party! \n12 Noon ~ The FREE Greenpoint Children’s Halloween Parade will step off around 12 PM in McCarren Park (Manhattan Avenue and Driggs Avenue). Costumed kids of all ages will march up Manhattan Avenue to Greenpoint Avenue and back to Hide & Seek. \n10 AM\, 11 AM\, 1 PM & 2 PM ~ The ticketed Spooktacular Party will be held indoors at Hide & Seek\, located at 593 Manhattan Avenue\, with timed 50-minute sessions at 10 AM\, 11 AM\, 1 PM\, & 2 PM. You’ll pick the entry time of your choice when purchasing your ticket. Arts and crafts\, live music\, movie\, candy! Don’t be surprised when we shoo you out 10 minutes before the next hour to make room for the next set of little party-goers. \nThe Spooktacular Party tickets are $20 online in advance for kids\, $30 day of event if supplies are available. $10 Special Parent tickets (will admit 2).
