N 14 St. and Quay St.\, Brooklyn\, 11211 \n\n\nThis It’s My Park season\, Join Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park to help wake up the gardens in Bushwick Inlet Park. Come lend a hand weeding\, mulching and planting the garden beds in BIP’s 50 Kent Ave section (map: 41 N 11th St). We have tools and gloves (but bring yours if you have them!). Wear clothes that can get dirty and a bring a water bottle. It’s lots of fun – meet other garden aficionados\, identify plants\, and discuss best weeding practices. \nVolunteers should meet at Bushwick Inlet Park at 50 Kent Ave which is between N11th Street and N12th Streets on Kent Ave. \nFor more information\, please email bushwickinletpark@gmail.com.

Drop off your cleaned and useable CLOTHES\, SHOES\, BOOKS\, TOYS\, BEDDING\, BAGS – and browse the selection.\n\n\nSIMPLE RULES:\n• ONLY cleaned\, gently used\, working and useable items please.\n• NO need to bring things to take things.\n• NO cribs\, mattresses\, TVs\, and over-sized items.\n• Out of consideration for others\, we may limit folks to 1 bag or the number of bags that you’ve brought to donate to the swap.\n• We do not allow taking donated items to resell. Why? DESCRIPTION:The Friends of WNYC Transmitter Park Present:\nProgramming from the Germination Station \nPlease join the Friends of WNYC Transmitter Park for a FREE on-site historic walk and talk with Geoffrey Cobb\, Director for Local History at the New York Irish History Roundtable. \nThis walking tour in the park\, will trace the changes and events along Greenpoint’s East River shoreline. Throughout the hour-long program we will hear about Native American beginnings\, first European settlers\, and the development of the industrial Greenpoint piers ending at present day with a shoreline that is a dramatically transformed waterfront. \nPlease register. \n \nGeoffrey Cobb has had a distinguished career teaching history at Erasmus Hall High School. Five books later he continues his writing and research that centers on the history of Greenpoint and Williamsburg. \nThe Germination Station is sponsored by the Friends of WNYC Transmitter Park. Inspiration for this forum is inspired by the Park’s namesake and historic legacy of public radio broadcasting. Add to this the creation of a community for the expression of ideas and support for public green space.
