SUMMARY:Greenway Bike Ride - Canarsie Park to Jamaica Bay Visitors Center
DESCRIPTION:Join Brooklyn Greenway Initiative and the East Brooklyn Bike Club on a bike ride from Canarsie to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge visitors center! \nWe will start from the Canarsie Park entrance at Seaview Avenue and Paerdegat Ave North\, ride through the park along the connecting bike trail to the Greenway. Then we’ll head along the Brooklyn section of the Jamaica Bay Greenway to Howard Beach\, and take the new (as of 2023) protected bike path on the Addabbo North Channel Bridge. Finally\, we’ll continue on the Broad Channel section of the Jamaica Bay Greenway to the visitors center at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge! (Total ride – 8 miles) \n[Note that bikes are not permitted on the trails at the wildlife refuge\, but bike racks are available for those that wish to lock up their bikes and continue on foot through the wildlife refuge. Remember to bring a lock!]\nPlease RSVP in advance.
