DESCRIPTION:Let’s go fishing with Brooklyn Pack 7 Cub Scouts! \n9 AM\, 11 AM\, 1 PM – Rain or Shine ~ We suggest that Pack 7 Cub Scouts select 9 AM. \nTrophies for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd places in all categories! \nLions\, Tigers\, Wolfs\, Bears\, Webelos and siblings under 10 are invited. \nCub Scout that catches the biggest fish (length) will win a new fishing pole and tackle box! Awards & prizes will be given out! \nBring your own fishing gear · Bait will be available at camp · \nCub Pack Units bring your Pack make a day of it\, rent a Picnic site and bring some BBQ \nFee: $10 per Participant \nQuestions? All NY State fishing rules and regulations apply at all times.\nNo fishing is permitted in the swimming area or the blue boat launch Area.\nA DEC issued freshwater fishing license is required for anyone aged 16 and older. For NYS fishing license information\, visit the DEC website at https://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6091.html. A one-day fishing license is available for purchase online for $5.\nLead-free fishing sinkers are required for ½ ounce or less weights. Lost or discarded lead weights dissolve slowly over time. Exposure to low amounts of lead is toxic to both humans and wildlife.\nBarbless hooks are required. Barbless hooks are easier to remove\, causing fewer fish injuries. You can also use pliers to bend barbed hooks. See our staff for assistance.\nNon-stainless-steel hooks are recommended. If lost or swallowed by a fish\, non-stainless-steel hooks will rust\, dissolve\, and disappear quicker than stainless steel hooks.\nPlease carry out all trash and collect any that you see. In the case of inclement weather\, the program will be moved to our auditorium and only those registered will be admitted entry. * This restriction is due to the fire safety limit set by the fire marshal and is non-negotiable. \n\n\nJack & Friends is presented in celebration of Jack Roberts and his joyful spirit. They begin with theatrical games and activities to warm up their bodies\, voices and imaginations before opening their magical treasure trunk to reveal themed prop items for each kiddo. They use props to spark an exciting voyage to faraway lands\, meeting characters and overcoming obstacles all along the way in search of a hidden\, secret surprise. Kiddos will be giving their creative suggestions to help shape each storyline! Every class is a brand new adventure! \nA Rosie Day \nA Rosie Day’s innovative program is designed for parents/guardians and children aged 12 months and above. Classes are crafted to incorporate art\, sensory play\, technology\, and engineering into early math and science exploration\, following the Reggio Emilia approach. \nUpcycled Art (7/14) \nJoin A Rosie Day in minimizing waste by reusing household items! By utilizing a variety of recycled materials like cardboard\, plastic caps\, coffee tins\, cans\, paper towel rolls\, and more\, little artists are inspired to enhance their creations further. Not only will this initiative add depth and creativity to their artwork\, but the environment will also appreciate your sustainable efforts in reducing waste while promoting artistic innovation. \nPotion Play (8/4) \nDuring A Rosie Day’s Potion Play workshop\, children will interact with a range of measuring instruments to explore essential science and math concepts. Within a supportive and natural environment\, they will have ample opportunities to immerse themselves in discussions related to gravity\, scientific approaches\, and the enhancement of motor skills. The hands-on activity of Potion Play encourages creative thinking as kids create enchanting formulas and develop innovative storylines. This exercise not only boosts their critical thinking but also sharpens their problem-solving capabilities with success! \nAri\, The Sing-along Guy \nCome sing\, dance\, clap\, stomp\, jump and rock out with Ari The Sing-along Guy! They encourage the audience to get up and moving with a high energy show that will rock your guac off!\n\n  \nThis program will have registration that will open 24 hours before each program begins. In the case of inclement weather\, the program will be moved to our auditorium and only those registered will be admitted entry. * This restriction is due to the fire safety limit set by the fire marshal and is non-negotiable. \n\n\nJack & Friends is presented in celebration of Jack Roberts and his joyful spirit.
