DESCRIPTION:Fall migration is coming to a close! Join us for a guided\, sunset walk to observe birds in our park. Binoculars will be provided. \n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\n\nWho: All ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. \nAll materials will be provided at this FREE guided walk. \nWhere: Meet at the Park House (blue building with public bathrooms) at Marsha P. Johnson State Park. \nPLEASE NOTE: \n\nRegistration is highly recommended for all participants to secure your space in the program.\nIf we do not hear from you 10 minutes into the program\, we will release your reservation to walk-up participants.\n\n\nIf the program is sold out\, but you still wish to attend\, we encourage you to walk up and see if space is available.\nIn the case of inclement weather\, the program may be rescheduled or canceled. Please be sure to check your email a few hours before the program starts.

DESCRIPTION:Join Prospect Park Alliance for family friendly programming on the school holiday for Veterans Day. \nProspect Park Audubon Center\nNature Exploration\, 12 – 4 pm\nProspect Park Audubon Center\, Free\nNature Around Us\, 12 – 3 pm:  Enjoy different seasonal discovery stations and nature themed activities that will introduce you to the plants\, insects and animals that call the park home. The Lake and Lullwater are home to many plants and animals. Help us to test the water quality and investigate pond samples that are filled with living organisms.\nAnimal Encounter\, 2 – 3 pm: Join Alliance Naturalists in learning more about the animals in the Audubon Center’s collection. This program starts promptly at 2 pm.\nFamily Nature Walk\, 3 – 4 pm: Prospect Park is a stopping point for hundreds of bird species each year! Join us as we search for these amazing creatures and other nature around the park. Binoculars and bird guides are provided. This program departs from the Audubon Center promptly at 3 pm. \nLefferts Historic House\, 12 – 4 pm\nLefferts Historic House\, Free\nJoin Prospect Park Alliance for family friendly programming at the Lefferts Historic House in Prospect Park. \nCarousel Rides\, 12 – 5 pm \nChildren’s Corner\, $3 per ride; $13 for a book of 5 tickets; Unlimited with Prospect Park Alliance Family Supporter membership. Celebrate Veterans Day with the park’s beloved Carousel. Join the Alliance at the Family Supporter level and your family (up to 4 people) will receive unlimited rides on the Carousel for a full year!
