SUMMARY:Slow Summer Reading Parties (Brooklyn Bridge Park)
DESCRIPTION:Grab a blanket and a book and meet us on the Pier 6 Liberty Lawn for the kind of Sunday afternoon summer was made for. \nReading Rhythms is partnering with Brooklyn Bridge Park for Slow Summer. This is the first of three Slow Summer reading parties happening at BBP this season. Live music. Waterfront views. A couple hundred people reading together for the afternoon. \n  \nRegister!  \nWhat to expect: \n\n\nA low-key\, unplugged Sunday afternoon on the waterfront \n\n\nThe Reading Rhythms experience\, but outside\, including 1 hour of reading to live music \n\n\n1-on-1 breakout conversations and group discussion with fellow readers \n\n\nWhat to bring: \n\n\nBYO blanket (or towel\, or yoga mat\, no chairs on the lawn\, please!) \n\n\nBYO book (any book\, any genre\, whatever you want to read) \n\n\nBYO sunscreen\, water\, sunglasses\, and hat \n\n\nA friend if you want\, or come solo! \n\n\nThis is free and open to the public\, but RSVPs help us plan\, so claim your spot. \n. \n \nReading Rhythms is a series of welcoming reading parties designed to make it easy for people to gather and read socially. We invite you to bring any book you want and facilitate silent reading periods\, as well as 1-on-1 breakouts\, and group discussions to pull on the threads of the books that everyone is engaging with. \nIn a world that can often feel devoid of interest and meaningful connection\, we bring readers together to reconnect with our love of learning\, to experience the wonder of beautiful venues and curated music\, and to gather amongst all of the people who want to be in that very same room.
