SUMMARY:Zumba with Dodge YMCA (BK Bridge Park)
DESCRIPTION:Dodge YMCA fitness Zumba classes are so much fun you’ll forget that you’re burning calories. ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music\, utilizing dance themes that create a dynamic\, exciting\, effective fitness program. This class features aerobic training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Sneakers are recommended! Classes run on Mondays at 6:00 PM\, May 1 through September 25 at the Pier 3 Plaza. \n\n\n\nAdvanced registration is required. We are now opening registration by-the-month (opens at the start of the month for all classes that month) here. \nImportant: In addition to registration\, all fitness participants are required to fill out our fitness waiver here. Once completed\, your waiver is good for all Conservancy fitness classes of the 2023 season – you only need to fill it out once! Those under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian complete the form on their behalf. \nConfirmation emails include a link to this waiver. It must be completed before you can participate in any of our fitness programming; individuals who have not completed a waiver will not be permitted to join. DESCRIPTION:Council Member Jennifer Gutierrez\, North Brooklyn Parks Alliance (NBPA)\, and BetaNYC are excited to launch a new way to map NYC’s public realm! \nBetaNYC’s Civic Innovation Fellows will present their efforts on the Mapping for Equity project and how to create more equitable and accessible mapped spaces. We will show you how we’re mapping north Brooklyn’s parks and public spaces into OpenStreetMap. \nThrough this activity\, we are making sure there is equal representation in data while quantifying and mapping our public realm. Together\, we will site\, count\, and map community assets to better steward. \nThis event will be delivered in English and all ages are welcome to attend (provided that anyone under 18 years old is present with a parent or guardian). We will be moving about the city and on uneven terrain. Plan on wearing appropriate footwear and environmental attire.
