This is a part of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Waterfront Workouts series\, offering free weekly workouts from May through September. \nZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music\, utilizing dance themes that create a dynamic\, exciting\, effective fitness program. The routines feature aerobic training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Note this class takes place on a paved area – sneakers are highly recommended! \nAdvance registration is highly encouraged but walk-ups welcome as capacity allows. SUMMARY:Bargemusic Concerts at Brooklyn Bridge Park
DESCRIPTION:For nearly 50 years\, Bargemusic has been committed to attracting local audiences and enhancing the cultural life of New York by offering performances of chamber music in an intimate setting – the type of setting in which chamber music is meant to be heard.\n\nBargemusic concerts are 1 to 1.5 hours\, with no intermission. Doors open 20 minutes before the concert (no tickets\, no reservations). No food or drink is permitted inside the Boathouse\, and no photo\, video\, or audio recording is allowed without permission. DESCRIPTION:Glide along the water this summer and fall in our protected embayment with free public kayaking! \nPresented in partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse\, free kayaking is offered throughout the summer on Wednesday and Thursday evenings\, Saturdays\, and Sunday afternoons. All levels are welcome including first-time kayakers — life vests and all equipment provided\, as well as instruction. Children under 18 must have an adult guardian present. Meet at the north entrance of Pier 2\, look for the floating dock. \nAdvanced registration required\, providing 20 minute timed slots. Free registration opens 2 weeks ahead of each date through the Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse website. View all kayaking dates here. Please note that holiday weekends may be skipped; please check the schedule. \n  \nRegister here! \nDon’t see any available time slots? This is a part of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Waterfront Workouts series\, offering free weekly workouts from May through September. \nPilates is a low-impact exercise that strengthens the body\, with particular focus on the core (abs\, back\, glutes)\,by utilizing controlled\, precise movements\, focused breathing\, and alignment. \nNo equipment is required but participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats or towels\, if desired\, to use on the lawn. An extremely limited number of yoga mats will be available to borrow. \nAdvance registration is highly encouraged but walk-ups welcome as capacity allows.
