SUMMARY:Sunrise Yoga (Domino Park)
DESCRIPTION:Greet the sunrise with a yoga flow. \n\n\n\n\nEvery Wednesday morning on the Flex Field\, join an invigorating and centering outdoor yoga session. With the sound of the East River in the background and the Manhattan skyline in view\, this free class offers a serene start to the day. Please bring a mat. \nMackenzie Rawls: With a background deeply rooted in dance\, Mackenzie discovered her passion for teaching early in her career but decided to expand and diversify her offerings. Recognizing the transformative power of yoga\, she delved into its principles and philosophy\, becoming a certified instructor under the direction of Gabrielle Sulk. In and beyond the studio\, Mackenzie has organized workshops\, masterclasses\, and community events to foster creativity\, connection\, and growth within her community. Mackenzie’s impact as an educator extends far beyond the physical aspects of dance and yoga. She believes in nurturing the whole person\, helping her students develop self-confidence\, resilience\, and a sense of joy in their practice. \n\n\n

SUMMARY:Unheard at Domino Park
DESCRIPTION:Pique-nique’s Unheard series celebrates musical discovery—those spontaneous moments when artists listen deeply to each other and let curiosity guide the sound. Join us for an evening of unrehearsed musical conversation\, where freedom takes form and sound takes shape. \n. \nDates \nThu\, Jul 23\, 6:00 to 9:00 PM ~ Spencer Zahn will lead a quartet of multi-instrumentalists to create two fully improvised sets under the open sky. Spencer Zahn is a bassist\, multi-instrumentalist\, and composer\, long based in New York and now splitting his time with Los Angeles. A renowned collaborator and touring bassist for artists like Empress Of\, Twin Shadow\, Kimbra\, and Half Waif\, Spencer is perhaps best known for his acclaimed work alongside vocalist Dawn Richard and guitarist Dave Harrington of Darkside. His solo albums meld his jazz background with ambient pop\, Americana\, and neo-classical influences. He was the artist-in-residence for the inaugural year of Unheard in 2023\, making his return to the series a homecoming of sorts. Spencer Zahn (bass\, keys\, electronics) // Morgan Guerin (sax\, EWI\, drums\, keys) // Alfredo Colón (sax\, EWI) // Kirk Schoenherr (guitar\, electronics) \n. \nThu\, Aug 20\, 6:00 to 9:00 PM ~ Emilio Modeste will lead a group of multi-instrumentalists to create two fully improvised sets under the open sky. \n. \nThu\, Sep 17\, 6:00 to 9:00 PM ~ Pique-nique is a Brooklyn-based creative incubator nurturing adventurous music at the intersection of jazz\, improvisation\, and experimental sound. Since 2016\, they’ve developed over 50 innovative projects spanning live performances\, recordings\, residencies\, and deep listening events. Their work extends beyond presenting music to actively cultivating artists\, projects\, and audiences through immersive experiences and meaningful contexts. Operating across unconventional spaces\, established venues\, and international festivals\, Pique-nique builds cultural infrastructure that connects musical traditions with contemporary expression. \n

SUMMARY:Molière's Don Juan (Prospect Park)
DESCRIPTION:Join Molière in the Park for the biting\, ever-relevant tragicomedy DON JUAN.\n\n\n\nDon Juan\, one of French literary legend Molière‘s most controversial works\, explores themes of class\, sex\, religion\, and freedom\, exposing societal hypocrisy along the way.
