Movies take place on eight consecutive Thursdays in July and August at Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn\, organized by Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 6:00 PM\, movies start at sunset. All Movies With A View events are free. \nThis year the theme of “We Are Family” brings together a wide range of films celebrating family and relationships in all of their diverse forms. From dynamic work buddies engaged in friendly competition to a heartwarming tale of a newfound friend with a penchant for Reese’s Pieces\, to thrilling stories of criminal enterprises and a mother’s epic journey through the multiverse to save her daughter\, there are movies for all to enjoy. \n2023 Movies With A View presents: \n\nJuly 6: E.T. DESCRIPTION:To celebrate the season of abundance and harvest this session we will create our own pickles. We will be discussing with participants the benefits of pickles and how to prolong the life of fresh produce. \nThis workshop is for those 18 years old and older. It will take place twice. Once on August 3rd and once on August 17th. Registration opens 48 hours beforehand. If you register for the first workshop\, please do not register for the second to allow others to take part. \nRoots Unbound (RU) is an abolitionist grassroots organization based in Brooklyn offering nature-based programming centered around food justice\, therapeutic horticulture and ecological disinvestment to people in the NYC area with a focus on supporting and uplifting people impacted by the carceral system.

DESCRIPTION:Join for Nature Storytime at Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s Environmental Education Center (99 Plymouth Street)! Held at 3:00pm on the third Thursday of every month (during Open Hours). Librarians from Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street location lead for an exciting and engaging storytime session\, along with singing and rhymes. Each month they select a book to pair with the Education Center’s monthly nature theme. After\, stay to check out all the animals and activities in the room – open hours on Thursdays are currently 3:00-5:00pm! Storytime is typically about a half hour long. Walk-ups only; we do our utmost to accommodate as many walk-ups as space allows. The Environmental Education Center is still encouraging all visitors to wear a mask to help protect others.
