This all-level one hour fitness class is open to all ages and abilities\, led by instructors from Abhaya Yoga. This is a part of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Waterfront Workouts series\, offering free weekly workouts from May through September. \nThis yoga class integrates postures\, breathing exercises\, relaxation and meditation to stretch\, strengthen and condition. \nNo equipment is required but participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats or towels\, if desired\, to use on the lawn. \nAdvance registration is highly encouraged but walk-ups welcome as capacity allows. DESCRIPTION:Do you like to sketchbook? Are you interested in starting? Join Brooklyn Bridge Park educators and other like-minded people in a sketchbooking meet-up. Each time\, we will meet at a different location in the park to concentrate on different subjects and stretch our skills. Come to one event or come to all. It’s up to you. These are informal sessions with some instruction for those who are new to the practice as well as an open exchange of ideas\, techniques\, and materials. \nThis month we will be exploring the John Street section of the park and concentrating on architecture (the NYC skyline\, the Manhattan Bridge\, etc). Meeting point will be at the Manhattan Bridge viewing area\, near the salt marsh. \nRegistration required. We encourage you to bring your own\, favorite sketching materials\, but we will provide some for those who don’t have. This program is intended for adults\, although older teens are welcome as well. Advanced registration is encouraged but not required. There will be 25 spots available on a first-come-first-served basis.
