SUMMARY:Pollinator Party at Radio Star
DESCRIPTION:The Friends of WNYC Transmitter Park invite you to an evening of celebration and gratitude as we honor the incredible volunteers\, supporters\, community members\, and NYC Parks who help keep our public park thriving. This event is our way of saying thank you to everyone who contributes to maintaining and enhancing this beloved public green space in Greenpoint. \nWe’re excited to host this event at Radio Star\, where Mediterranean flavors meet 1940s diner charm\, inspired by the radio era of our very own WNYC Transmitter Park. A big thank you to owner Sara Conklin and Executive Chef Asi Maman for graciously providing their lovely space and crafting a delicious light menu for the evening. \nOur celebration gets even better with the support of Brooklyn-based Transmitter Brewing\, who will provide distinctive brews for the occasion. \nAs we all enjoy the evening\, there will be images and highlights from this gardening season and a look ahead for the future. Whether you’ve volunteered\, attended our events\, or enjoyed a peaceful walk through the park\, we’d love for you to join us in celebrating the community that makes WNYC Transmitter Park a vibrant and welcoming place for all. \nIf you can’t make it\, please consider supporting our free programming\, gardening efforts\, cleanups\, and park advocacy. Your contributions keep this park a vital part of the Greenpoint Community. \nEvent Details: \nHosted by the Friends of WNYC Transmitter Park \nDate: Wednesday\, October 9\, 2024\nTime: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM\nAdmission: Includes a beverage and a sandwich \nWe can’t wait to celebrate with you!
