Workday And General Meeting @ Grand Street Community Garden

Join NYC Parks GreenThumb and Grand Street Community Garden for an open workday/meeting to help clean up the garden before the winter! No prior experience necessary. We’ll have a brief garden info meeting after to discuss responsibilities, priorities for next season, and communication methods.
What to expect:
– Learn about the garden’s history, how to get involved, and support the space
– Participate in basic garden maintenance alongside garden members and GreenThumb
– Tools and gloves will be provided. Bring your water, snacks, and enthusiasm!
– Spanish speakers encouraged!
Workday Goals:
– Remove trash, debris, standing water, non-garden items
– Spread Mulch/Woodchips
– Clear Fenceline
– Disturb Rat Burrows
Group Goals:
– Designate two (2) reliable garden contacts
– Confirm Membership List, recruit additional members
– Create Group Communication Method
