Workday And General Meeting @ El Puente Espiritu Tierra (Earth Spirit) Community Garden

Join NYC Parks GreenThumb and El Puente Espiritu Tierra Community Garden for an open workday/meeting to help prepare the garden for the winter! No prior experience necessary. We’ll have a brief garden info meeting after to discuss goals for next season.
What to expect:
– Learn about the garden’s history, how to get involved, and support the space
– Participate in basic garden maintenance alongside garden members and GreenThumb
– Tools and gloves will be provided. Bring your water, snacks, and enthusiasm!
Meeting/Workday Goals:
– Remove Trash/Debris, prune back perennials
– Install Mesh along fenceline to prevent debris accumulation
– Review the 2024 GreenThumb Site Visit results and Rat Mitigation strategies
– Discuss priorities for next season
– Designate 2 Garden Contacts to improve communications with GreenThumb
