Free Tree Giveaway at Brownsville Library

Brooklyn Public Library is partnering with New York Restoration Project to give away trees to registered New Yorkers this Spring.

Native tree species to be distributed at this location include: Alleghany ServiceberryAmerican PlumBald CypressAmerican PersimmonSmooth AlderSweetbay Magnolia, and Witchhazel.

Please note that tree sizes vary. Be prepared to transport up to a two-gallon pot size.

Even if all available trees are reserved for an event, walk-up recipients are welcome to pick up a tree during the second hour of the giveaway, from 3:00 p.m. onwards. All remaining trees are first-come, first-served until all trees are distributed. We always have trees remaining for the second hour for anyone who missed the chance to register in advance.
