Series of Events:

  • Wednesday, June 4, 2025, 7 PM: Nile Harris / Lisa Fagan & Lena Engelstein ~ Fagan and Engelstein present This Could Be You, a brand new bizarro duet bridging dance and theater, tailor-made for unlocking the potential of an asphalt oval situated between two unattainable balconies.  In this untitled work-in-progress presentation, Harris responds to the architecture of the Domino Park amphitheater using the Manhattan skyline as a launching point on a desultory meditation on the characters past/present/future that make New York City, New York City.

  • Thursday, June 5, 2025, 7 PM: Tiresias: Mysteriosa ~ A fantasia of short new works that promises untold mystery and magic.

  • Thursday, June 12, 2025, 7 PM: Poncili Creación / Eli Nixon and friends ~ Poncili Creación’s Dirty Laughing Molecules: Forcibly caught in a traffic jam the audience will fall witness to life and death in ginormous proportions thru the windshield, a warped mirror of reality. Join suitcase theater artist and rabble rouser Eli Nixon to explore what and how to celebrate so as to survive for 450 million years (or at least tomorrow!). This is an all-ages invitation to sample this DIY holiday in homage to horseshoe crabs (“Bloodtide”) that has been hatching out across the continent and in particular, along the east coast where horseshoe crabs abound, or used to… Audiences will be invited into low-stakes opportunities for participation including naturedrag, comics drawing, fabric handling and singing crabaoke (power ballads with altered lyrics about crabs!).

  • Wednesday, June 18, 2025, 7 PM:  National Sawdust Presents: “Back to Nature” featuring Isaiah Barr, David Frazier Jr. and William Parker plus Special Guests. The event will showcase vibrant members of the contemporary New York music scene whose collaboration embodies the spirit of innovation that National Sawdust champions.

  • Thursday, June 19, 2025, 7 PM: Troy Anthony & The Fire Ensemble ~ Originally created to celebrate Juneteenth, THE REVIVAL: IT IS OUR DUTY is a theatrical concert experience inspired by traditions found inside of Black-American church revivals. Composed and officiated by celebrated Creative Director Troy Anthony, THE REVIVAL is meant to lift people out of their sorrow using nonreligious songs and rituals that center collective liberation. As they say in the Black church, audiences “won’t leave the way they came.”

  • Wednesday, June 25, 2025, 7 PM: Quince is an immersive comedy that follows a Chicana confronting her queer identity, family and religion as her Quinceañera, a rite-of-passage emphasizing the importance of family and community, approaches. The vibrant experience features live music, dance, food, and art inspired by Latin American rituals, mythology and magic!
