This workshop will help participants understand how ableism presents itself in nature spaces, gain insight into the impact that ableism has within our communities, practice thinking through accessibility and inclusivity considerations when planning a garden or facilitating garden activities, and learn about a number of resources on how to further learn from the disabled community and where to get future ideas.
Facilitated by Kristie Cabrera. Kristie Cabrera (she/they) is a queer and Latinx occupational therapist who is committed to unpacking ableism within nature spaces.
