Enjoy a concert by Steven Kroon Latin Jazz Sextet with NYC Parks! Born in Harlem and raised among jazz greats in St. Albans, Queens, Steven Kroon is a master percussionist. After decades working with major artists like Luther Vandross and Ron Carter, for the last twenty years he has focused on his own high-energy sextet, which fuses jazz with Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music.
Presented by the Jazz Foundation of America, supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and by the Howard Gilman Foundation.
