Seed Sowing Primer And Gardening Demonstration Program (Transmitter Park)

Please join the Friends of WNYC Transmitter Park for a FREE On-site Gardening Demonstration Program focusing on Seed Sowing for successful gardening. Rosemarie Miner, founding Principal for Our Temenos, will lead us through the gardens, pointing out the patchwork of plants that make up the gardens, including common pollinator plants and weed species. Please come prepared to take notes as we observe plants throughout the park or simply enjoy the stroll.

Meet at Greenpoint Avenue Entrance to the Park

Rosemarie Miner  is a social ecologist, focused on blending the boundaries between human and non-human communities. As an artistic praxis, she works with nature to create living murals, as well as functional ecosystems, designing with spirits of place and for the generations to come.

Drawing on her B.S. in Ecology and her history as a community organizer, Rosemarie works tirelessly to build environmental and social resilience by facilitating ecological intimacy and fostering ecological literacy. boroughs.
