Scholastic Book Swap And WORD Bench Beautification

Sustainable, zero-waste, zero-spending book exchange and community art project! Bring your kids to trade their “old” books with other kids for some “new” books! After swapping, participants are invited to leave their creative, earth-loving mark with a special bench-painting community art project.
Book Swap Guidelines
– This swap is for books for K – 12th Grade readers.
– Please bring books that are in good, readable condition. Books with missing covers or missing pages will not be accepted.
– 15 book limit per participant.
How to Participate
1. Drop off your pre-owned books with the front desk staff at WORD Bookstore starting Monday, September 9th.
2. For every book you bring in, you will receive one bottle cap.
3. Each bottle cap can be exchanged for one book at the swap.
The Bench Glow Up
After the swap we invite all participants to help beautify the bench out in front of WORD by sketching favorite book characters or writing beloved book quotes.
We’ll provide sketch pencils and colorful paint markers.
