Last week at the hearing where the City Planning Commission certified the application to start community review of this rezoning application for the land next to Bushwick Inlet Park, planning commissioners raised concerns about the proposal to take parkland, to narrow the mandated waterfront esplanade, to build enormous towers right up against the park, and to allow luxury housing unaffordable to the local community. Doubts have already been raised about this plan by government. Let’s talk about it.
Our many perspectives, experiences and expertise united together will be a formidable force in saving the inlet, Bushwick Inlet Park and our neighborhood.
