Help us monitor the plankton in the East River!
About this event
Who: Ages 8 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
What: Learn about the importance of oysters in our estuary and help us monitor the East River’s plankton. We will be measuring plankton and monitoring water quality.
All materials will be provided at this FREE program.
Where: Plankton monitoring will take place at Marsha P. Johnson State Park at the picnic tables by the shoreline.
PLEASE NOTE:
Registration is highly recommended for all participants to secure your space in the program. Please reserve one ticket per individual. To allow space for as many people as possible, we ask that you please only register for one session per program. If we do not hear from you 10 minutes into the program, we will release your reservation to walk-up participants.
If the program is sold out, but you still wish to attend, we encourage you to walk up and see if space is available.
In the case of inclement weather, the program may be rescheduled or canceled. Please be sure to check your email a few hours before the program starts.
If we do not hear from you 10 minutes into the program, we will release your reservation to the next person on the waitlist.
