Waterfront Workouts: Pilates (Brooklyn Bridge Park)

Stretch and strengthen with free weekly Pilates classes in Brooklyn Bridge Park. This all-level one-hour fitness class is open to all ages and abilities, led by instructors from Dodge YMCA. This is a part of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Waterfront Workouts series, offering free weekly workouts from May through September.

Pilates is a low-impact exercise that strengthens the body, with particular focus on the core (abs, back, glutes),by utilizing controlled, precise movements, focused breathing, and alignment.

No equipment is required but participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats or towels, if desired, to use on the lawn. An extremely limited number of yoga mats will be available to borrow.

Advance registration is highly encouraged but walk-ups welcome as capacity allows. Fitness waivers are required by all participants.
