From Seeds to Success: Organizing Volunteer Days in the Garden

Wednesday, February 12th at 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Free

Volunteer days in the garden are an excellent way to engage new gardeners! But what does it take to bring this idea to fruition? In this workshop, we will explore effective strategies for volunteer management and event planning in your garden. We’ll cover topics including how to create a logistical plan and identify your garden’s unique neighborhood assets, ensuring the success of your garden workdays. GreenThumb gardeners participating in this workshop will learn how they can receive a volunteer supply kit they can use for future volunteer days!

NYC Parks GreenThumb hosts this event. We are proud to be the nation’s most extensive urban community gardening program, sustaining over 550 gardens throughout New York City. With GreenThumb’s support, community gardens are centers of environmental justice, ensuring that our city is fairer, safer, and greener for all. GreenThumb’s events are free and open to the public.
