Open Garden NYC: Honoring Roots, Planting Futures: Bike Tour through Bushwick and Williamsburg

Join NYC Parks GreenThumb for a guided bike tour of over seven GreenThumb community gardens in less than seven miles through North Brooklyn. This bike tour will focus on the roots of community gardens, honor their history, founders, and what was on the land before as we cycle through the ever-changing landscape of Bushwick and Williamsburg.
Community Gardens on Tour:

- Meeting Location: Granite Street Community Garden, 28-32 Granite Street, Brooklyn
- Madison Square Association Garden
- Know Waste Lands
- EL Garden
- Nos Cuidamos Community Garden
- Sunshine Community Garden
- Keap Fourth Community Garden
- El Puente: Espiritu Tierra Community Garden – Earth Spirit
- Berry Street Garden
No bike? No problem! Citi Bikes will be available at no cost. Please keep in mind that Citi Bike rentals do not include bike helmets, so all participants must bring their own helmet. Please make sure to bring a fully charged smartphone with the Citi Bike app downloaded on to your phone to access the bikes. Please arrive 30 minutes before, so we can set you up with a bike.
