Nature Journaling: Summer Phenology (Brooklyn Bridge Park)

Saturday, July 11th at 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Free

Do you feel like you need a moment of pause and a deeper connection with nature? Join Brooklyn Bridge Park educators on the first Saturday of each month for a free nature journaling workshop. The 90-minute workshop helps you start or expand your nature journaling practice, providing you with ecological context, thematic prompts and time to journal.

This month’s theme is “Summer Phenology”. Learn about the science behind seasonal change as you use your senses to reflect on themes of abundance and growth. This month we’ll be at Pier 3, where educators will be waiting by the pier entrance (side facing the marina) until 10:05 am before moving to the site of the workshop.

This series is intended for adults, but all are welcome. Materials are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, but we encourage you to bring your own materials and journals if you have them. This event is first come, first serve, with 20 total spots available. Advance registration encouraged but not required.
