Nature Jazz for Families (Greenpoint Library)

Saturday, June 13th at 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Nature Jazz for Families program is an interactive hour-long kids musical nature education program designed to help kids (and their adults!) learn to name, appreciate, and protect the plentiful nature events happening right outside our urban doors.  Local jazz vocalist and youth outdoor educator Court Williams presents bite-sized biology lessons between her favorite seasonal songs with help from live music, library books, and touchable props.

Come see the garden, check out our new sun sail and patron seating funded by the Friends of Greenpoint Library.

(If rain, will move to EcoLab 1, 2nd Floor)

Court Williams is an emerging talent on the New York jazz scene with unique nature-forward repertoire.  Each season Court presents audiences with a new set of lyrical standards. As a lifelong environmental enthusiast and outdoor educator Court hopes to seed a deepened appreciation for nature among music appreciators of all ages that may develop into environmental advocacy.
