Kids Week: Nature Exploration and Tree Planting (Forest Park)

Even when school’s out, our parks are still the city’s natural classroom! Bring your kids to parks throughout the city for Kids Week during Winter Recess. With programs led by our Urban Park Rangers, kids will get to experience nature in a hands-on and fun way. Join the Urban Park Rangers, Forest Park Trails Crew and Forest Park Trust for a light hike around Strack Pond: a haven for wildlife, trees, and other plants. The Trails Crew will lead a tree planting activity, so that participants may give back to the park and help grow a thriving forest for all to enjoy. Registration is required. Registration opens Wednesday April 13.
