Music and Mend at Newkirk Community Garden

Join the garden group at Newkirk Community Garden for some mending and music on the first Friday of the month, all summer long! Neighbors, menders, and the musically inclined, come enjoy the beauty of Newkirk Community Garden. Bring a loved garment or textile, give them a second life and keep them out of the landfill! Don’t know how to mend? We can help you patch, darn, repair hems, and more. Bring something you want to mend, supplies you might have (needle, thread, scissors, etc.) and/or an instrument if you’d like to play some music with us or just come to listen and hang out. We will also have some mending supplies generously donated by FABSCRAP.
