This fall, MAS is celebrating design excellence in New York City with our 2022 MASterworks Awards! We have curated a selection of in person explorations and online in-conversations with this year’s honored projects.
On Tuesday, November 29 from 10-11 AM, join MAS for a visit to Brooklyn Public Library’s Adams Street Library, 2022 MASterwork winner for Best Adaptive Reuse. Join team members from WORKac, the design team behind the project, for a morning-time exploration of the bright, engaging new library space. To kick-off the event, MAS will provide coffee and tea to attendees.
Located in Brooklyn’s historic DUMBO district near the East River, Adams Street Library is Brooklyn Public Library’s first new branch to open in more than 20 years. A unique library, the design puts children at its center, containing spaces for learning activities, story time, books, reading and views out to Brooklyn Bridge Park. The library also has new collections, technology and extensive programming for teens and young adults in a dedicated teens area. Read more about WORKac’s design here.
Capacity is limited, so RSVP today!
