Join the Urban Park Rangers inside the Prison Ship Martyr’s Monument for Revolutionary War history you didn’t learn in school. The monument is dedicated to the 11,500 Americans who died in prison ships while the British occupied New York. You’ll hear first-hand accounts from survivors who recalled the ghastly conditions they endured while imprisoned.
