Herbal Limbers: Boricua Popsicles

Limbers are Puerto Rican sweet ice treats, like popsicles in a cup. They are typically made with delicious Caribbean fruits: coconut (coco), passion fruit (parcha), tamarind (tamarindo), mango, guava, etc. As a child in Moca, Borikén (Puerto Rico), Myrna loved going to a neighbor’s house with her friends to buy limbers or limbels, as Boricuas like to say.

For this online gathering, Myrna will demo how to remix this classic tasty icee, using fruits and herbs that grow in the garden. We’ll also talk about the hxstory of this treat and the medicinal powers of the herbs used.
