Geothermal Energy in Greenpoint

Please join Lendlease, an integrated real estate company, and project partners to learn about the ‘groundbreaking’ geothermal technology being implemented at The Riverie, an upcoming residential building along the Greenpoint waterfront in Brooklyn.

Industry experts will discuss the geothermal system at The Riverie as a case study for how large-scale dense developments can employ this technology to build and operate more sustainable buildings in urban environments.

Geothermal is a renewable energy source from the Earth has been used for millennia for cooking, heating, bathing and relaxing (think hot springs!). Now, the technology is being harnessed to heat and cool buildings in New York City.

Upon completion, The Riverie will be the largest residential geothermal building in New York State.

After the presentation there will be a Q&A.
